Terriers Set To Return To Great Lakes League in 2007

The Stark County Terriers have been voted back into the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League after taking the 2006 summer off from the league. The vote was held as part of the off-season league meetings held last week.

The Great Lakes League also welcomed back the Indianapolis Servants, bringing the league total to 11 teams, each who will play a 40 game schedule this coming summer.

The Terriers will have a different look in the dugout this year as long-time manager Joe Gilhousen and hitting coach Dale Herbert have both retired. General Manager Greg Trbovich returns in his role as the Stark County GM.

Gilhousen is currently an assistant coach at Division III Mount Union College, located in Alliance, Ohio while Herbert continues his coaching duties with NAIA Walsh University.

Walsh University will also become the new home field for Stark County upon returning to the Great Lakes League. The field will under go re-modeling this off-season in preparations for the Terriers summer season.

More updates on players will be made as the off-season progresses. If you have any questions, please refer them to Greg Trbovich at grtrbovich@sbcglobal.net
